MUSEUM

There are two museums nearby Jayapura, the Museum Negeri and the Anthropological Museum of University of Cenderawasih. Both are Interesting to visit. Museum Negeri has more complete collections from all over Irian Jaya while the Anthropological Museum owns older and more aesthetic collections, including those presented by Michael Rockefeller. The museums are both located in Abepura, which you can visit on the way from the airport to the city. Usually open from 8 am to 4 pm Tuesday to Saturday. Monday is holiday for museums but sometimes it is open from 10 am to 1 pm. Sharing is sexy
