LAKE SENTANI

Lake Sentani is another and most preferable place of interest to visit in Jayapura. Just eighteen kilometers from the city, an excursion may star at Yoka or another small harbor where the boatmen usually pick their passengers to take them to island villages inside the lake. Mostly the people of the island and lakeside villages live on fishing in the freshwater and farming while men also make typical carving, bark painting, bows and arrows.
