The nearest conservation is Cycloops. The forest that only 45 kilometers or one-hour drive from town, and two or three more hours walking to reach the real jungle. The specialities include a waterfall and butterfly habitats. Some birds native to Irian Jaya may also be found here such as bird of paradise, cassowary, crowned pigeon, parrot and many others. 


Another close jungle where you can watch birds is buy two-hour to Nimbokrang, then proceed on foot through the jungles. Here you may observe hundreds of birds, of course including the bird of paradise. Building temporary camp during the observation and spend about two nights is quite good adventure. Sharing is sexy
